Joins Coalition Supporting Prop 45
is proud to join the growing coalition supporting Prop 45 (Building an Affordable California Act)—a broad alliance of affordable housing advocates, home builders, water providers, civil rights leaders, clean energy builders, healthcare providers, and more working together to make California more affordable and deliver the essential projects communities need.
Prop 45 is a November 2026 statewide ballot measure that will modernize California’s outdated project approval process to help build more housing and other essential projects faster and more affordably.
Today, unnecessary delays and red tape are driving up housing costs and worsening California’s affordability crisis. Permitting and approval delays add as much as $75,000 to the cost of a new home—costs that are ultimately passed on to renters and homebuyers. Prop 45 creates a faster, more predictable, and more accountable approval process by establishing clear timelines, improving accountability, and reducing unnecessary delays—cutting, in some cases, as much as 10 years off project timelines.
Prop 45 will:
• Establish clear, enforceable timelines for project approvals
• Base project approvals on clear, consistent, objective standards, improving predictability
• Streamline the judicial process with faster, evidence-based reviews
• Preserve local control and public input
• Maintain California’s strong environmental, labor, and tribal protections
It’s time to cut red tape, protect our environment, and build more housing faster and more affordably. Learn more and join the coalition today. Vote YES on Prop 45!
